# Boss Reward Chest

The **boss rewards system** in Exordion aims to ensure a fairer and more dynamic loot distribution among all participants in battles against bosses and mini bosses ([Elite Raids](https://exordion.gitbook.io/exordion-wiki/en/systems/elite-raids)).

Instead of bosses dropping loots directly on the ground, rewards are delivered through the **Boss Reward Chest**, a system that combines **merit** and **luck**.

### 🧩 How the System Works

When defeating a boss, all players who participated in the fight receive rewards according to their **participation score**, which takes into account three main factors:

* **Damage dealt** to the boss
* **Damage received** from the boss
* **Healing performed** to other players

The system automatically calculates each player's total contribution and determines their **ranking position** in the battle. Only the **top two scores** (among damage, block and healing) are considered for the final result.

Based on that ranking, each player will receive their rewards, including a **Tier Chest,** the higher the placement, **the better the chest will be** and **the greater the chance of receiving a special chest** containing rare rewards. In addition, all chests below the Arcane Chest **will have a chance to contain a higher tier chest.**

> Boss **drops are also affected by the score**, for example: an orb has a 10% drop rate, if a person was rank 1, they have the 10% chance to get it, while a person who was in a middle rank has a lower chance to drop.

### 📦 Tier Chests

* All eligible participants receive **at least one chest** as a reward.
* Each chest has a **pre-defined list of possible items**.
* The **quality and rarity** of the items depend on the **placement in the ranking**.
* The system combines **score (effort)** and **luck (random chance)**, ensuring a balance between merit and randomness.
* Within the client, in the module **Wiki > Monsters**, it is possible to view detailed information about the rewards system:
  * Boss **types of chests** available for each boss.
  * The **list of possible items** contained in each chest type.
  * Hovering over a chest icon will display whether it is a **guaranteed drop (fixed rank)** or **luck-based (random chance)**. Example: Drop 1-3 (Players ranked 1 to 3 will receive this chest guaranteed) | Luck 4-999 (Players ranked 4 to 999 have a chance to receive this chest).
    * If there is no specific information, all participants have a chance to obtain it.

Additionally, everyone has a chance to receive **special chests** with unique rewards.

### 🏆 Heaven Roulette

Obtained chests can be opened at the **Heaven Roulette**, a special area located on the **top floor of Casino Island in&#x20;*****Main Land*****, and to the right of the&#x20;*****Rookgaard*****.**\
temple When using the **lever** of the roulette, the player will test their luck and reveal the contents of their reward chest.

### 💡 System Objective

The system was developed to:

* Restore the **value of rare items**;
* Make rewards **more balanced** among all participants;
* Encourage **healthy competition** during battles;
* And offer a **more engaging and fun** experience for the entire community.
